MAGFest LAN Rules

  • Please try to keep your setup contained. You must be able to fit in a 30" deep by 36" wide space (half a table) if we reach capacity
  • Use headphones, not speakers
  • Leave networking equipment at home. We have plenty of ports
  • Use your power strip. You must only plug your power strip into the one we provide your table. DO NOT DAISY-CHAIN MULTIPLE POWERSTRIPS
  • Enter and exit only through the checkpoint. Other doors are alarmed
  • Sleep in your hotel room. Keyboard napping OK; sleeping bags NOT OK
  • Please adhere to the MAGFest Code of Conduct (https://super.magfest.org/codeofconduct/). This includes the prohibition of smoking, vaping, and the consumption of alcohol in MAGFest function spaces

Public Computers

This year, we're increasing the number public play PCs with the help of our partners at LANfest and FRAG who are providing over one-hundred and fifty Public Play PCs.

PC Build Competition

Are you ready to show off your PC building skills? Or do you simply want to marvel at some cool creations? This year, we’re excited to announce the return of the PC Build Competition! There are some changes from last year, so be sure you are ready by reviewing the rules. Builds will be judged by technical achievement, aesthetic expression and crowd favorite. There are categories for Traditional Custom Build, Case Mod Custom Build and Case Mod Prebuilt. Each category will have it's own winner. Take a leisurely stroll through the LAN room, enjoy the blinkin’ lights, and vote for your favorites!

Music and Gaming Jeopardy!

Music and Gaming Jeopardy is our new Jeopardy game-show inspired event where you can show off your esoteric knowledge of Music and Gaming and win MPoints! Interested in becoming a contestant for Music and Gaming Jeopardy? Read more about the event and fill out our form here!

LAN Theatre

Our LAN Theatre is in the front of the LAN room and is the ideal place to watch many of our great LAN events. We plan to livestream with commentary. Come see the best gamers competing to be #1! Don't forget to invite your friends to cheer you on! Late-night content is back in the LAN Theatre as well—stop by and check out what's planned!
